What are your drop-off & pick-up times?
Whenever is best for you! Unlike large traditional kennels with their set pick-up & drop-off windows - The Barksville Inn will ask when is best for you. Our all-inclusive daycare and boarding means you never pay extra then the set price. Daycare is the full day and boarding for the overnight - regardless of when you drop-off or pick-up.
No more 1/2 or full day Daycare charges added to Boarding and never pay a late pick-up charge (such as a $1.00/per minute as others do) again. At The Barksville Inn, we understands things happen. We aim to create a stress free experience for dogs and dog parents alike.
Our official business hours are 6:00 am - 11:00 pm weekdays and 9:00 am - 11:00 pm weekends... but, as a small in-home dog retreat – we are already home!
Do I need to bring my own dog food?
No, but you can. You are welcome to bring your preferred dog food – dog treats and/or other goodies for your dog during their stay. If your dog has a sensitive stomach or severe anxiety separation – bringing their own food from home can help minimize the potential for upset tummy and getting sick during their stay.
If not, we feed only Dog Food Advisory© 5-Stars rated grain-free wet and dry food to all dogs at no additional cost. Brands we serve include The Farmers Dog Fresh Dog Food, Taste of the Wild, Blue Buffalo and Wellness Core.

While we encourage you to bring your dog's bed, fuzzy blanket and/or favorite toy... no need to bring food bowls or measuring cups. To avoid confusion and left behind items - we feed all dogs in stainless steel bowls and dishwasher them after each meal.
Payment for Services is due at Pick-Up in the form of cash, check (made payable to "The Barksville Inn"), debit / credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover), Venmo / PayPal (#barksvilleinn) and/or previously agreed upon payment method with the Innkeeper.
No deposit or prepayment is required. The Barksville Inn never charges additional fees for cancellations, late pick-ups, meals, administering medications, weekends or holiday stays.
where will my dog sleep?
Where ever they like. The Barksville Inn is an in-home, pack-friendly communal living space – a true home away from home for dogs. Instead of confined kennels we have created a variety of individual safe sleeping spaces that guests can choose. From overstuffed of couches, comfy chairs and raised dog beds of all sizes. No kennels or cages - ever.
To ensure your pups vacation is a fun as yours, we strongly suggest bringing their favorite bed, blanket and/or toys. Alternatively, a piece of your clothing, such as a t-shirt or sweatshirt, provides comfort and helps calm your four-legged buddy by making the Inn feel a little more like a home. We will make every attempt to return any items you bring but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee their return as dogs will be dogs.
Your Innkeepers will be happy to discuss your dog’s specific sleeping and care needs (ex. giving of medication, meal times, any unique characteristics etc.) at Drop-Off as part of our Check-In process. Feel free to contact the Inn with any questions or to discuss how we can best care for your loved one.

Our services are All-Inclusive. You are never charged extra for late pick-ups, reservation cancelations or changes, meals, treats, walks, field trips, puppies or holiday bookings.

What is your cancellation policy?
Plans change, flights get delayed, meetings run long - we understand. If you need to cancel and/or make changes to a current or upcoming reservation - no problem. We simply ask you let us know.
The last thing we want to do is add stress to your already busy day. That’s why The Barksville Inn never charges a cancellation fee, change fee, late pick-up fee, meal fee, walking fee, administering medication fee or requires any payment prior to Pick-Up.
No additional fees means a stress free stay for all.
Do you offer discounts for
multiple dogs?
You bet. We happily offer discounts boarding services.
Our all-inclusive boarding fee is $50/night - each additional dog is only $25/night.
Keeping dog care affordable and accessible to all and focused on the dogs needs is our mission.
